Waiheke Island proposal - Zeus and Devanshi's romantic helicopter picnic

Zeus contacted us 2 weeks before he was planning to propose. He was concerned that he didn't have much time to plan everything that he wanted to achieve for the day; and that's where we came in!

Together, we decided that a picnic package was best suited to match Zeus' ideas for the special occasion. He explained to us how special Devanshi was and we understood that we had to pull out all the stops to make her feel as loved as possible by Zeus. 

Zeus already had plans to include a helicopter into the proposal somehow; so we booked in a flight from Auckland to Waiheke, including a trip around the sky tower and a scenic tour of the island, 30 minutes of fly time total. We were SO lucky with the weather!! The forecast read rain for the whole week except for the big day. The sun turned up for us and the helicopter flight showcased the spectacular island from above. 

From there, we booked them a rental car so that they could drive around the island at their leisure and explore the many glorious beaches and attractions. 

We set up their picnic, incorporating natural tones with olive greens to match the already stunning backdrop that they were about to witness. A gourmet platter, a bottle of champagne and lots of candles were just some of the details that we left them with. 

The gorgeous couple turned up to their luxury picnic and unsuspecting Devanshi was utterly surprised by the effort that Zeus had put in for her. While they enjoyed their platter, our photographer arrived and pretended to be taking some photos of the landscape so that Devanshi wouldn't catch on to what was about to happen. 

Zeus took Devanshi's hand, led her away from the picnic for a stroll to enjoy the views and then, that utterly romantic moment, he proposed, yay!
