A Waiheke Island love story...
Sabi contacted us a month before he wanted to propose and although we were fully booked, we managed to bring in an extra team to set up his special day for him.
During our consultation, it was clear that one of our pre-made packages wasn't quite right for Sabi, who had his heart set on an arch way to frame the beautiful view at the Olive Cottage at Mudbrick Vineyard.
One of his main requests was to have a neon 'will you marry me' sign, so we quickly got to work in ordering everything we needed and pulling out all the stops to make sure this could go ahead on one of the busiest weekends of the Spring season.
Not your every day lunch at Mudbrick Vineyard...
Sabi had disguised the plans to be an innocent weekend lunch at Mudbrick Vineyard with family and friends, little did his girlfriend know that he had meticulously planned every detail of the day to surprise her.
After a relaxed lunch with friends, Sabi leads Aman for a walk to "check out the views" and of course they just so happen to stumble across the setting that we had created for them at the Olive Cottage that he had rented.
She said YES!
Dressed in a gorgeous shade of pink, Aman was met with city and ocean views, her lover down on one knee, and of course... that ring!! Speechless and overjoyed, Aman said yes to Sabi's proposal!
The air was fragrant with a thousand sprigs of lavender..
As the newly engaged couple are swept away by our dedicated photographer, their friends and family are waiting to congratulate them back at their cottage. Aman is also surprised with a luxury bouquet of flowers from The Bloomerie and a Dior handbag, lucky girl!
Inside the cottage we set up a trail of candles and rose petals, along with a charcuterie platter and a bottle of champagne to celebrate with.
Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live..
The best thing to hold onto in life is each other...
